Privacy Policy

Searchhouse is a small SEO agency based in Brisbane, Australia. This page explains what we collect when you use this website and what we do with it.

What we collect

When you send us a message through the contact form, we receive what you type in: your name, email address, website, budget range, the services you’re interested in and your message.

We also measure how people use the site, such as which pages they visit and how they scroll and click, using Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These tools set cookies and collect details like your approximate location, device and browser. We use this only to improve the site. We don’t use advertising pixels, and we don’t ask you to create an account.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to run that project. We don’t sell your details or share them with anyone for marketing.

Who else handles it

A few services help us run the site, and they process data on our behalf:

Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
Netlify hosts the website and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
Google Fonts serves the fonts on this site, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measure how visitors use the site. Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are measured without analytics cookies.

Some of these services store data outside Australia.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries in our email for as long as they’re useful for replying and for any work that follows, then delete them.

Your choices

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them or have them deleted. Send us a message through the contact form and we’ll handle it within 30 days.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, or your local data protection authority if you live in the EU or UK.
